MoneyTalks free financial helpline

MoneyTalks is funded through Building Financial Capability to provide free advice to individuals and whānau who want to improve their financial wellbeing.

People can quickly get in touch with MoneyTalks by phone, email or online chat.

Trained financial mentors provide free and confidential advice and can also connect people with BFC providers in their own community.

MoneyTalks is for people who are:

    • wanting to increase their financial wellbeing
    • having immediate financial issues such as being pressured to make an instant decision
    • enquiring on behalf of another person
    • wanting to get in touch with local financial capability services
    • making general enquiries or needing information.

MoneyTalks provides a 'front door' and triage to the whole range of BFC services and products to help provide the best outcomes for people.

FinCap is contracted by MSD to provide the MoneyTalks helpline.

MoneyTalks is available-

Monday to Friday 8am – 8pm
Saturday 9am – 4pm
Sunday 10am – 2pm
