Changes to the Exemption for Ex Gratia and Compensation Payments

29 July 2019.

Cabinet has agreed to amend the Social Security Regulations 2018 and the Residential Care and Disability Support Services Regulations 2018 to extend the exemption for ex gratia and compensation payments in recognition of harm to defined New Zealand-based non-Crown entities and remove the 12-month time limit to create a permanent exemption.
