Extending financial assistance to people ineligible for ordinary support that are affected by the Christchurch terrorist attacks

The Government identified that there were some people affected by the Christchurch mosques attack who were not eligible for weekly income support. To ensure those affected had access to weekly income support, the Government extended support through the Ministry of Social Development. This included making regulations and establishing a Ministerial Welfare Programme.
