Housing Support Amendment (Non-Residential Tenancies) 2024

The instrument extends the eligibility of assistance for moving costs, accommodation costs in advance, and accommodation costs in arrears, and introduces a new grant of Accommodation Security Cover.
This instrument, which comes into force on 1 July 2024, revokes and replaces the Housing Support Programme to expand financial assistance for accommodation related costs to people with accommodation agreements that the Residential Tenancies Act 1986 does not apply to.
