A Collaborative Plan For Christchurch Youth and Process Learnings Paper

A Collaborative Plan for Christchurch Youth was launched in September 2003. The plan provides a strategic framework for interagency work focussing on outcomes for young people in Christchurch between the ages of 13-19 years. The plan has been developed by the CSPIN.

The purpose of the collaborative planning initiative is to develop an informed, consistent and co-ordinated approach to planning and delivering services for young people. It also aims to ensure that opportunities for co-operation between the Council, central government agencies and non-government organisations are taken up for the benefit of the youth of Christchurch. The plan identifies six key outcomes for young people in Christchurch, and presents an initial set of indicators to measure progress. It highlights seven priority areas and develops a number of actions which will improve joint working and contribute to better outcomes for young people.
