Child Poverty Reduction Targets

These documents set out the key advice provided to the Minister for Child Poverty Reduction from March to June 2024 in relation to setting the third intermediate child poverty reduction targets and changing the ten-year targets. Under the Child Poverty Reduction Act, the Minister was required to set third intermediate child poverty targets by 30 June 2024; these targets were set on 27 June 2024. The Minister also considered advice on changing the ten-year child poverty targets, originally set in 2018. The Minister ultimately decided not to change the ten-year targets.
