New research funding round open

07 August 2020.

Each year $750,000 is made available for policy-relevant research using Growing Up in New Zealand data

Applications for Round 5 of the Children and Families Research Fund opened on Friday 7 August 2020 and close on Wednesday 14 October 2020.

The research fund is dedicated to exploring policy-relevant issues using de-identified data from the Growing Up in New Zealand study, New Zealand’s largest longitudinal study into child development and growing up in 21st century New Zealand.

The fund is open to applications from academics, public and independent research organisations, non-government organisations, and government agencies. We are particularly interested in supporting research proposals from people and institutions that are new to the fund. Researchers and policy professionals should look to co-develop research proposals to ensure strong policy relevance and high potential impact to New Zealanders.

There is more information on the Children and Families Research Fund webpage.
