Wage Supplement consultation announced

The Government is seeking feedback from targeted stakeholders in the disability sector on a replacement for the Minimum Wage Exemption.
The Minister for Social Development and Disability Issues, Carmel Sepuloni, and Minister for Workplace Relations and Safety, Iain Lees-Galloway have announced that Government will undertake a targeted consultation on a replacing the Minimum Wage Exemption scheme with a wage-supplement approach.
Giving feedback on a wage supplement approach
The consultation will take place from mid-February until late-April 2019.
We are seeking feedback directly from those affected by this policy. This includes disabled people and their families, as well as Disabled People’s Organisations, unions, employers, and employer associations.
