Children and Families Research Fund open from 4 June to 26 July 2019
04 June 2019.
Applications for policy-relevant research projects are now invited for the 2019 funding round of the Children and Families Research Fund.
Each year the Ministry awards up to $750,000 to social research projects that explore and analyse the data gathered in the Growing Up in New Zealand study
Applications for funding are open to academics, government agencies, public and independent research organisations and non-government organisations including iwi-based organisations and service providers.
This year we have introduced a second category of funding to support researchers new to the Growing Up in New Zealand data.
"Collaborations between groups are encouraged, and joint working relationships between relevant policy agencies and researchers expected so that we get richer research insights and more comprehensive analyses of how we can improve the wellbeing of New Zealand children and their families," Social Development Minister Carmel Sepuloni said.
