MSD Contacts database privacy statement
The Ministry uses the third party application iContact to store your contact information, to send you Ministry correspondence and track what has been sent.
iContact is subject to the laws of the United States given that iContact is a US registered company.
The Ministry has accepted iContact terms of use, so in subscribing to our newsletters and publications you are also bound by these terms of use and protected by their privacy policies. The Ministry has been assured that iContact will not disclose your data without your consent, or unless the law requires them to do so. Read iContacts privacy policies and terms and conditions:
The Ministry's privacy policy
The Ministry:
- will use your contact details to only send you publications and emails that you have subscribed to;
- will not disclose your data to third parties unless required to by law;
- may further use your information to send out occasional surveys;
- may use your personal information for statistical or research purposes.
Under the Privacy Act 1993, you have the right to access all information the Ministry holds about you. If required, we can correct this information, or you can view your details and correct them yourself via the ‘Manage Your Subscriptions’ web form. When you view or update your contact and subscription details via the web form, your information is sent via a secure (encrypted) link so that it cannot be intercepted.
